"Stayed at Stables Suite - great to have separate bedroom and dayroom. Walk in shower in bathroom was essential for us - worked well. Excellent breakfasts and a well appointed kitchen if you like to make your own food."

Tip:
"Had lunch at the local Curious Cow of Harrogate which was very good - about 2 miles away, a bit too far to walk. Also had lunch at Mother Shipton Inn at Knaresborough - great service and food with a friendly atmosphere. Walk along the riverbank from there under the famous railway viaduct is very interesting."

"The room was beautiful and the service was excellent.

The only drawback was that the TV only worked for Free View. The streaming services and chrome cast didn’t work. On the second night I was not feeling well and decided to stay in the suite. If I hadn’t been unwell I wouldn’t have noticed this, though.



Still 5 stars. Very happy and would come back again "

"The entrance is quite hard to find. The owners sent us some tips which were very useful. Make sure you follow the advice. "

"This was our 4th visit ...which should say it all. Fantastic hospitality from Janet and Paul. We had both of the rooms in the main house, both beautifully appointed. Homemade biscuits every day. AMAZING breakfasts. Lovely fire to sit in front of during the evening to relax. 5 minutes from Harrogate but off the road and very quiet and peaceful. We definitely recommend. "

"The Fat Badger was lovely but to be honest you are spoilt for choice, all within easy travelling distance. "
