"The villa and its grounds are lovely and very relaxing as well as providing fruit, vegetables and eggs. Giaocchino is welcoming and helpful and speaks very good English. If you are especially lucky he will harvest honey from the bees while you are there. "

"The beach is very convenient.
The fish restaurants of Avola are excellent.
The Sicilian Baroque cities and Syracuse are all easily accessible. "

"We had a great stay at Casale della Pergola. The house is very quiet, clean and perfect for a family of four. It's all equipped for cooking and outdoor gear. The kids (6-7) had a great time in the beautiful huge garden and the playground. The oranges, lemons and sapotes are delicious. We spoiled Nerina (the donkey) everyday with carrots and bread. Gioacchino (the owner) is very kind and helpful. He does his best to make your stay smooth and enjoyable. We arrived Easter Sunday and the shops were closed for two days but Gioacchino nicely did some basic shopping for us before we arrived. We were impressed by the recycling system which is much better than the one we have in Brighton, UK. We highly recommend this house if you want a hassle free holiday. Special thanks to the chickens who gave us fresh eggs everyday."

Tip:
"It was low season when we stayed there so we were the only ones on the beach during the week. That was good after visiting busy Taormina. The pizzas at Jionio are not really good but if you go to the end of the promenade, there is a restaurant called Scirocco where they prepare delicious fresh fish and seafood dishes.
There is a daily small market next to the beach where they sell fresh fruits and veg and homemade delicious dishes to take away. "
