"In my books an innkeeper makes or breaks the stay at a B&B. In this case, Giuliano definitely made our stay better than most. La Bourganville is situated just outside and far above the city in the Manzoni neighbourhood. There are many beautiful vistas of the city, Vesuvius and the sea from Via Alessandro Manzoni.

Getting into the city couldn't be easier. Get an unlimited full day pass for the metro (€4.50), and use it on the funicular just down the road from the B&B, takes you to Mergellina, and then walk 250m to the Mergellina metro which has both line 1 and 2. Then use your pass on any metro, bus or funicular in the city.

We mainly chose La Bourganville because they offer parking for €5/day, but we'd definitely stay again both for location and to chat with Giuliano.
