"Fantastic week in a heat wave! Gruline Courtyard cottage worked well in the heat as bedroom situated on ground floor=pleasantly cool! Well equipped accommodation situated quietly away from the road, with views to the hills from the garden (and, once, briefly, golden eagles!) Lovely, helpful hosts living next door. Bit of a water crisis at the end of the week, due to the unprecedented heat (30c most days) but Sharon and Stuart made every effort to minimise any inconvenience to us and we understood the need to conserve the precious resource in a drought. Highly recommend and hope to return. "

Tip:
"Mussels at the Glenforsa Hotel were excellent as were the langoustine seved simply on a bed of undressed salad leaves. The kitchen strangely did not appear to know what salad dressing was: I was presented with a small bowl of unmixed oil and vinegar. Very odd!
Bought more from the shellfish company in Tobermory. Can recommend the spicy seaweed relish, from there, too.
Fish and chips from Tasta of Mull in Salen were very good (take away) 3 miles away.
