"The staff is quite friendly. But sometimes things are more important than being friendly. For example to prepare people for the mosquito attacks during the night! But thank you so much for your kindness in the morning after you realized my girlfriends birthday! That lately saved our stay after a horrible night with minimum fifty mosquito bites per person. So thank you very very much for the birthday cake and the atmosphere in the morning, that was so nice of you!"

Tip:
"Actually there is nothing around to recommend. To the old town you need about 15 till 20 min. by Tuk Tuk, depends on traffic."

"The place is not like any other hotel, and during my two months travel in India one of the best value you get for this money. To use internet free when you want and be able to use a washing machine was a big plus. As well as being able to use the kitchen!
Everyone living in the house is greeting you with a big smile, lovely family!
I stayed two nights and even though river and temples are quite far away this didn't bother me at all. I you want to stay longer, this is the place!!
But to be honest, if someone is having only one night for a short visit in Varanasi, it may be better to get one of the hotels on the river, to save time."

Tip:
"Have the street food, there is plenty and as usual cheap :)
A boat trip on the river is nice, one time for an hour in the morning or late evening is enough, I did a sunrise, it was okay.
Visit temples, have good walk along the river, and talk a lot with local people, but don't forget to trust nobody ;)"
