Tip:
"There are several walks right on the door step and a visit across to the Brough of Birsay is a must(just check the tide times before crossing over)
Churchill Barriers, the Italian chapel and Skara Brae or also a must."

Thank you for recommending us with 5 star ratings. Glad our information on your last stay at Annie’s Place was still helpful even though we had to be south for unplanned medical appointments. Glad too that a week at here was just what you needed! Yours tips for other visitors are as helpful as your previous ones. We agree that there are great walks right from the door and that popular bucket lists sites are within easy reach by car. Hope you are indeed able to make another return visit.

My niece translated you comments for us and we are delighted that you found us to be very friendly and helpful hosts who were always ready to assist you with advice and practical help. We are pleased that you felt very much at home and found Annie’s Place to be a “lovingly furnished holiday home, and that (you) would highly recommend this dream apartment to everyone”. Finally, we are glad that the peace and quiet, unspoilt nature and spontaneous heartfelt encounters with people added to your holiday experience.

"What a fabulous place in a fantastic location. Anne and Robin were extremely welcoming, and Annie's Place is ideal as a base to explore mainland Orkney.
Everything was spotless, and we were really pleased that they were welcoming of our little dog too.
We'd come again tomorrow."

Tip:
"The Palace Stores next door was a real bonus, and they were happy to order in anything we wanted.
We enjoyed the Birsay Team Rooms up the road, and especially the formal "Afternoon Tea"
We had lovely meals at the Skerries restaurant in the Merkister Hotel, and also The Foveran. The Murray Arms is a bit of a trek, but well worth the effort."

So delighted that you found everything to be so much to your satisfaction, especially as you were staying at Annie’s Place for three weeks. We were very happy to welcome you and your little dog and appreciated all the care you took. Your comments about the shop, tearoom and other eating establishments are so helpful for future guests. As we are already booked for the coming weeks, we can’t welcome you back tomorrow, but there are still some vacancies in August next year!

Tip:
"We like wildlife so it’s a good part of the island to see a lot… puffins, bonxies, curlews,guilliemots and many more. The well placed seats at the end of the garden are good for wildlife as well as Marwick Head and the Brough which are within walking distance. "
