"Annie's Place is a lovely, comfortable place to stay. It's very well-equipped with a dishwasher, washer etc. and Anne and Robin are lovely hosts. We would happily return."

Tip:
"Annie's Place is very handy for visits to the Brough of Birsay (depending on the tides), and the Earl's Palace. There's also a lovely tearoom just up the road. Lovely views, seals on the beach, great walks."

"Annie's Place is a lovely flat - well proportioned, nicely decorated and really well kitted out. Everything needed for serious cooking is provided in the kitchen, the beds and pillows are super-comfy and the location superb. The sea is right at the end of the garden and the village itself so picturesque. There are many fabulous walks available without even getting in to a car and the hosts are happy to help whenever needed. I heartily recommend it."

Thank you so much for recommending Annie's Place and its location, and for writing such a positive and helpful review. I am glad you found Annie's Place to be a lovely flat, that we had provided all you needed in the kitchen and that the beds and pillows were comfy. ...very important for a good night's sleep after all the fresh air! We try to provide for our guests all that we ourselves would want on a self- catering holiday. We also love our location on the shoreline to sit and relax, with easy access to walks from the front door. It was great that you saw some good sunsets from our shoreline seats!

Tip:
"Come prepared for all 4 seasons within each day.
Mid evening is the best time to sit up on the Brough of Birsay to watch the puffins.
The Broch of Gurness has free access in the evenings and is frequently deserted.
Lovely food and service up at the Birsay Bay tearooms, advisable to book if wanting to guarantee a table at lunch time."

Thank you so much for your “magical” review and recommendation. So glad you again found Annie’s Place to be so comfortable with all that you needed. We are always happy to have a wee chat if guests wish this, and we know how much you enjoyed just exploring the local area and regularly walking across to the Brough of Birsay to sit quietly close to the puffins. The weather this week was wonderful, but you are correct that guests should come prepared for all types of weather. Looking forward to welcoming you back on your next visit!
