"A five star start to our holiday. This could have not been better. From the friendly greeting, the attention to detail, comfy beds, lovely breakfast and the wonderful views. Margaret and Sandy put in maximum effort all round. One of the best B&B's we have stayed in."

"Wholeheartedly recommend staying with S + M. They are kind, generous, and very knowledgeable hosts. The b&b is intimate without being intrusive, very comfortable, and every detail has been considered. Views from the windows from my room were great and the birds are a joy to watch morning and evening. My only regret was that I couldn't stay longer."

Tip:
"Bring cosy socks if you'd like to wander around the common areas as this is a shoe-free home. The roads right around the b&b are not lit with streetlights at night, so making sure to have your phone flashlight (or even better, a headlamp) is important both for yourself and visibility to drivers, many of whom may not be familiar with the roads. The Uig Hotel makes excellent food and is open for snacks if you happen to arrive early from the Tarbert ferry."

"Where to start really….. The facilities were very modern, whilst at the same time the room maintained a traditional and cosy feeling. The view over the bay was fantastic - a trip highlight. The rooms and shared spaces were all extremely clean and very comfortable, with lots of space. Bathroom was very well taken care of. The breakfast was brilliant - everything you really wanted was there! Sandy and Margaret were the ideal hosts - very polite, fun and had the best tips, and they made our stay so much better. They welcomed us when we arrived - it felt like we stayed we family really. "
