"The cabin was set in a nice area, not overlooked and excellent facilities.. there is an electric meter which concerned us but I think we put about £5 in the week and had showers etc every day so great.. the location is good for most attractions on the island.. good value and we’d certainly stay there again.. I suppose the only issue for us was it is a bit dark, especially behind a black shower curtain but this is so minor it’s hardly worth a mention.. there are local eateries of sensible menu and costs.. a very local Spar, nice cafe called coffee pot although closes at 4pm.. ample parking. Salem is a nice little village with good amities.. we were then when the midges are around but we’d expected that.. whilst that was a pain it’s nothing to do with the cabin.. everything was spotless when we arrived and we tried to keep it that way.. anyway thoroughly recommend this cabin, and assuming the others are as excellent, well worth a visit.. "

Tip:
"Bring bug repellant.. book restaurants.. Spar is well stocked.. if you want otters we used a local guide, Brian BJB photography.. very good.. for eagles and Lunga Mull charters.. really good.. plenty of waterfalls and landscape opportunities.. Roads can be a bit spicy and locals get frustrated by is tourists if we don’t observe the passing protocols on the very narrow roads.. don’t expect to get anywhere fast on Mull.. also drivers need to take it easy due to the road and sheep everywhere.. other tourists who haven’t sussed the passing rules.. you soon pick it up, but fundamentally look as far ahead as you can and keep an eye out for passing places, some are indicated, many are not.. there’s a lot of polite waving of thanks as somebody stops for you to pass.. it took me a day to get my head around it.. some things on the island are more expensive, presumably because of the carriage.. nothing silly tho.. "
