"Just back from another stay at Goosehill Hall, the location is wonderful, close to all the amenities yet peaceful and calm away from the crowds. We have stayed here many times and feel it is our second home. We never tire of the views and it enables us to charge our batteries for another year. A good centre for exploring the Hope Valley and the neighbouring areas. "

Tip:
"Plenty of good pubs and restaurants, particularly The George with its wonderful fresh food. We also enjoyed the Rose Cafe and the Peveril Tea Rooms. Plenty of shops to visit - ASD Jewellery with its selection of Blue John and other unique items. The Apothecary shop has a good selection of small gifts for the family.
A good base for walkers and cyclists."

Very convenient position for walks into Castleton or more strenuous ones and several caves are within easy walking distance."

Tip:
"Ask the owners but the information centre is just down the road!
The George is generally considered the best but you won’t be disappointed in any of the Inns or tea shops. Excellent locally renowned fish and chip shop in Tideswell.
Annual Art Exhibition in the Peveril centre every September, original artwork at reasonable prices some by local artists."

"The owner is very friendly and helpful. The barn is a lovely property with stunning views and plenty of space for the family to enjoy. Loved the quirky bathroom with the main bedroom and the retained original features.

The property would be even better for us if it had had a clothes dryer as not all our clothes could be dried in the washer/dryer. "

Tip:
"The Indian in Hope was fabulous - definitely worth the drive or walk - it’s not that far on one of the many trails. Dolly’s cafe in the village is fabulous for breakfast or lunch. The fish and chips in the village is very good too.

Didn’t try any of the pubs but the food and atmosphere looked good there too. "
