"We had the most lovely stay for 4 nights. The setting is beautiful and the location is perfect for a wander into the town for a bite to eat or a drink. There are some lovely walks around which we thoroughly enjoyed during our stay. We stayed in The Barn which was super spacious for 5 of us. John & Helen are lovely and really helpful if needed. We would highly recommend and will definitely be back again to explore the area for more walks. Castleton is definitely one of the prettiest villages or towns in the peaks in our opinion. We definitely chose the best location for us. Also there is a bus that can take you as far as Chatsworth house and back up To The Blue John Caves. "

"Lots of options for restaurants to eat out and enjoy a drink after a long day walking. "

"Fantastic place to stay. Amazing cottage; ample parking; lovely comfy beds and a view to die for. John & Helen are excellent hosts"

"The George is a great local pub. Good ale and excellent food. The staff remember what you order for drinks and offer you 'your usual'.

The accommodation is right on walking trails so you can begin from the property."

Great to have 2 separate cottages which catered for the family.

"We were fortunate to experience the Castleton annual garland festival while we were there. A great way to participate in a community event, visit the pubs and watch the local band play and children dance. Definitely a highlight.
Good access to walking trails and of course the caverns!"
