"A warm welcome from the hosts Beth and John. The room was spacious and nicely furnished. Nice big bathroom too and instant hot water. A regionally sourced selection of tea/ground coffee products along with Scottish biscuits and chocolate wafers is provided each day. Very quiet location in the countryside. Bed was very comfortable. TV has a wide selection of channels to watch."

Tip:
"Location is about a 10 minute taxi ride from Linlithgow town centre and costs on average £7. Nearest pub restaurant is The Bridge Inn at the edge of town but plenty of other pubs, cafes and restaurants in town along the long high street. Recommend the circular walk around Loch Linlithgow with lovely views of the castle. Frequent train service connecting Linlithgow with Edinburgh (about 20min journey) and Glasgow. Interconnection with tram at Edinburgh Park station enables easy connection to Edinburgh airport. Linlithgow offers a cheaper, more peaceful and countryside alternative rather then staying in Edinburgh, yet it is only 20 minutes by train into the city."

"The bed was the most comfortable we have ever slept in; the fixtures and fittings were of the highest quality and so clean we thought we were the first users of this spacious room.
The owners were extremely hospitable and clearly run an outstandingly professional operation.
We shall absolutely use Arden House again when we return to visit family in Linlithgow."

"We were very happy with all aspects of the house and room. Unfortunately we were out and about so much that we didn't have time to just sit and enjoy the sitting room or the outside which looked very beautiful and relaxing. The bedroom is beautifully furnished and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The home-made treats were delicious. Beth and John were very friendly and helpful hosts. Would definitely recommend them."
