"The hosts, Johanna and Chris, were simply amazing - fun, welcoming, filled with both local knowledge and tips for touring, and Chris is best barkeep ever! If we ever make it back to Scotland this is where we'll stay - perfect location for a hub-and-spoke touring scheme. Rooms were clean and comfy, breakfast typical Scottish with great homemade marmalade, and plenty of off-street parking."

Tip:
"Watch the boats pass thru the locks of Loch Ness into the canal, right in the middle of town. Beaufort House for dinner - they only serve pizza but it's great pizza (well, the desserts are great, too!) Walk from The Boathouse restaurant alongside the loch,then catch a boat tour of the loch for the opposite view."

"We did not think that Inverness was that interesting, except the Clava Cairns. We stayed one night on our way to Isle of Skye. "
