"Bayview is situated in very peaceful surroundings, just the sound of birdsong each morning. Breakfast is very special with a lovely selection of fresh fruit served as well as a large selection of cereals and hot food options. Margaret and Paul are so friendly and make your stay very homely. Rooms are spacious with tea/coffee facilities, TV and WiFi.
Lovely coastal paths nearby passing through quaint villages each with a picturesque harbour. Highly recommend a stay at Bayview. "

Tip:
"Excellent for walking, birdwatching.
Fisheries museum at Anstruther worth a visit. Also boat trips to the Isle of May. "

"Delightful stay in the garden room. Beautiful views over the garden and absolutely quiet at night which made for good sleeping, helped by the very comfortable bed. The room is well supplied with toiletries, a kettle and coffee/tea, not to mention some delicious home baked shortbread and fruitcake.
I am not a big cooked breakfast person but the options look amazing and I was very happy with beautifully arranged fruit, rhubarb compote, home made yoghurt, and muesli. A full cooked breakfast is available.
The hosts are friendly, delightful, and very helpful should you have any added needs. I would return without hesitation. "

Tip:
"The seaside villages around are lovely. I grew up in Elie and highly recommend a visit there and a meal or a drink at the Ship Inn. The long, sandy, and almost deserted Largo Bay is a short off-road walk down from Bayview and the Fife Coastal Path runs above it. St. Andrews is a half hour drive away and Lower Largo, nearby, offers quaint houses and a good option for drinks/a meal at the Crusoe Inn. "

30th September 2025:
"Lovely place, great hosts and breakfast. Location is good for coast and country and great places for food all round."

Tip:
"Do visit all the lovely villages in the area but also venture further afield. We found ourselves in Linlithgow and stopped to legstretch. So glad we did its a great high street with cafes charity shops and a lovely loch.
If you go to Anstruther for the famous fish and chips, don't be frightened to try other fish shops. The award winning one is good but there are others out there. Oh, and you can't get cod up in Fife, only haddock.."
