"Hadfer makes an excellent base for exploring the area. It is easy to find, the site is spotless, the owners Greg and Jo are friendly, knowledgeable about the area and are generally helpful. It was great having the cafe next door and the full English (Welsh) breakfast included in the site fee sets you up for the day."

Tip:
"We enjoyed a mountain bike ride from the site to Mount Snowdon, most of it was off road. We spent one night wild camping just off the Ranger path on route to the summit next to the Lyn Ftynnon-y- gwas reservoir. Amazing views. On the way back to Hadfer we had a swim in the river that runs through Beddgelert.The following day we visited the near by Portmeirion village a beautiful location with stunning views, we enjoyed a walk on the Treeth beach. Loads of stuff to do and places to visit - we will most definitely be visiting again.

"Just brilliant. We had a great 3 nights in a warm and really comfortable tent/yurt, spotless clean facilities, delicious generous breakfasts and great hosts who are happy to make time to just chat or give suggestions for days out and local eateries. Together with a beautiful location you can't go wrong. "

"Fabulous place to stay. Loved its quirkiness a d the fact its not a big commercialised site.

The owners and team were lovely and friendly. Nothing too much trouble.

Great idea to include breakfast at the on site cafe in with your camping fee very flexible choice too. Eg if you didn't want brekkie you could use it as a packed lunch instead. Brilliant idea!

They also have yurts to hire, which looked cool and have fabulous ideas for the future, including selling metal-works of art around the place, which are made by the owner too. Yet keeping it on the small scale and environmentally conscious.

Long may it continue for them and of course... we’ll be back.!

"Great pub in Tremadog for your evening meal. Fabulous food. Seaside just a short drive away. Great walking and climbing on your doorstep.

Although water on site.. i didn't see a washing up area, so bring a bowl if cooking for yourself. "
