Thank you for your 5-star review and for the positive comments you made about your stay with us. Precisely because you rated us so highly overall, we were concerned by some of your observations and hoped we might clarify matters where possible. In relation to breakfast service, we were somewhat perplexed by your comments regarding the waiting time. Another table arrived shortly after yourselves and had requested that a cereal breakfast and a cooked breakfast be served together. In order to accommodate this, we served your porridge first before bringing their breakfasts. We did notice that you appeared unhappy with this arrangement; however, your cooked breakfast followed immediately afterwards. For this reason, we are struggling to understand how the overall wait could have amounted to 45 minutes. With regard to the location of your room, your accommodation was situated close to the top of the staircase leading directly to the bar and adjoining restaurant. What may not have been apparent is that several other rooms are served by a second staircase which leads directly to the restaurant area. We also have three ground-floor rooms adjacent to this staircase. As such, all guest rooms are positioned with convenient access to our adjoining bar and restaurant facilities.
