Tip:
"Lovely site with the Abbey in the grounds of the caravan park .
Very clean and tidy site . Very nice cafe and shop .
A nice walk along the riverside over the bridge . We find it a really peaceful place to stay xx
Not to far from Durham but definitely need a car ."

"We had a lovely, peaceful stay here in the motorhome on a hard standing pitch. Nothing to complain about. We would return here again."

Tip:
"This site is accessed by a steep downward hill and is a little remote if you are planning to explore further afield. We had our bikes with us and cycled via a cycle path into Durham, which is about 7 miles. To get to the path, you need to exit the site up the steep hill ( we walked our bikes up and it was a bit difficult) and follow the road that you came in on. Turn right onto the road past the prison, then left between the 2 prison buildings. The path takes you near to the University. We left our bikes outside the car park ( across the bridge), as there are steps to go up towards the city centre.
