"Lovely location, very quiet, even in high season. Pitches are not level, so take chocks. Perfect for dogs. Only negative for me was that the people who live onsite pay no heed to the 10mph speed limit."

"Lovely site and very quiet and peaceful. Nice walk through the orchard and woodland walk. Abbey access a nice inclusion. Only downside was the pitch we were on there is a path that the Lodge residents use to cut through which was right at the side of our van and could be intrusive. Path really needs to be moved towards the edge of the residential area. "

Tip:
"Bus into Durham but it is a 30 minute walk to the bus stop along a narrow country lane that can be busy with traffic going to the abbey. Seaham is well worth a visit especially if you like collecting sea glass"
