Tip:
"Be aware that if you’re bringing your motorhome here then you might want to stock up on provisions as it’s a bit of an hike to get to the shops. There’s a delightful circular walk along the river which you access directly off the site"

"I don't stay at the same place twice but on this occasion I have and also recommended it 2 others.
this time I did hear the traffic noise in the distance but I was sat out later then previously but it wasn't intrusive,
we should have asked for a flatter pitch which we had last time and there were plenty free, but managed.
plenty of hot water, showers were great but a mop bucket to squeeze the mop out would have been beneficial
Don't know if the man on the golf type buggy was the warden but very pleasant and only came to chat because we were sat out in the evening chatting"

Tip:
"bring plenty of chocks some available in a bucket near the small bins (we found later)
when people say a stroll into Durham, unless you can find a better route than us its over a hour.
riverside walk is a small circular good for dog walking
we annoyed one of the residents from the lodges at the top of the site because we took too long reversing the caravan onto the space but it was quite a slope so was mindful of a run away caravan ( will request not a D pitch in future)
was peaceful generally just passing cars going to the lodges "
