"Easy to find, great location along side the Abbey and river with a nice walk across the footbridge and riverside. Nice and clean facilities very quiet. Thought having spare wheel chocks that you could borrow was a good idea as a few of the pitches do require them.
Our second stay here will use again as not far from family. "

"Lovely quiet, peaceful site. Spotless shower block. ANPR didn't work for us at the exit barrier but just use the code sent to you & it works. Priory ruins were great for a wander & over the bridge for a riverside walk."

Tip:
"For best pitch levelness, select A, B or C areas. F4-7 are also fine. Water points are at the shower block so fill up camper there in large parking area at bins. Good Chem waste dump behing shower block & grey waste on slope before exit barrier beside extra toilets for when campsite toilets are being cleaned. 30 min walk to bus stop for a 20 min bus right to centre of Durhum. 28 mins past the hour & 10 past the hour for c £4 return. Uber taxi is c £12 or stance taxi in City is c £17 on meter. Saves you the return walk 'though. Would defo return to this campsite for a Durham visit. Cathedral is free & amazing & Crook Hall Gardens NT are lovely. £20 for x2 but with £5 off when you show bus ticket. Cafe was nice."
