"Half an hour walk to bus stop poutside frankland. Bus takes you to shopping park and Durham.
Quite a walk to nearest pub but taxi was cheap enough.

"We've stayed many times at Finchale Abbey over the years. It's a lovely and peaceful site. It's set in beautiful grounds with the ruins of the Abbey making a stunning backdrop. Facilities are clean and well maintained and the staff very friendly. It's only half an hour from home so easy to get to if we want a quick break away. Would definitely recommend. "

Tip:
"Make sure you take everything you need, especially if you don't want to move your motor home unless you have alternative transport, Sainsbury's / M&S two miles or so away. The site is quiet with pleasant walks along the river."
