"This is an ideal secret hideaway, close to the railway station and the town centre but because of the layout of the town and where the accommodation is situated, it is beautifully quiet such that we awoke to gentle birdsong each morning. The accommodation had everything we needed and was wonderfully comfortable and clean."

Tip:
"A must are the views over the gorge from the castle or from the back of the working man’s club just a few doors down from the BnB going towards the station. If you do visit the castle it’s well worth the walk down to the river then along to Mother Shipton’s Inn where the food is excellent. The various butchers and bakers in the town are very well worth exploring as the selection of pies and pastries are superb and if you fancy a takeaway try the local fish and chips; top notch. The lavender tea rooms are a delight and the wine merchant worth investigating. All in all a lovely place"
