"Our stay was absolutely perfect. Sara and Simon were fantastic hosts and couldn't do enough for us. The property is gorgeous and in the most beautiful location. I mentioned to Sara I was gluten intolerant with regards to breakfast - and there was a box of gluten free cookies in the room on arrival! Thoughtfulness like that is so rare these days. I am recommending Boreham House to everyone we know for the perfect England break."

Tip:
"We loved the food at Sundial restaurant, a unique experience. We really enjoyed our 1066 route countryside walk which took us to Herstmonceux Castle and the Observatory. HIGHLY recommend the observatory, we were lucky enough to attend a fabulous evening event with live music and use of the telescopes to see planets and distant stars. There are a lot of exhibitions there, for both adults and children. "

"We had a lovely warm welcome from Simon and Sarah (hope I've remembered their names correctly). The room was comfortable, the sheets silky and luxurious, the bathroom spacious, and delicious home-made cookies to have with tea. Simon showed us round the garden and explained about the renovations they've made to restore the house to its glory - proper Grand Designs project. And breakfast was really good too. Thank you, it felt like a proper holiday "

Tip:
"Simon recommended a visit to Battle which we did -fascinating, and really interestingly done by English Heritage. Would recommend Batemans too. And a good place to stay if you're going to Glyndebourne."

"Beautiful house in a country village with a pub across the road, and lots of national Trust properties, gardens and local attractions nearby.
Wonderful hospitality from Sara and Simon, which makes you feel immediately at home. "

"Pashley Manor gardens recommended by Sara and Simon were great. Battle and 1066 country with local castles full of historic interest Lots of great pubs nearby.
