"We were in the annex and John and Julie were away. We found there was little information about how things worked eg the heating, but we were fine and just put it on when we needed it. It's a cosy place, spacious living room but the kitchen is very small. But we never intended to cook there so it wasn't a problem! The house is very well placed on the coast road, opposite the garage and a few minutes' walk from Blakeney Quay, the local shop and local pub, all excellent."

Tip:
"Lots to do and see. You can walk along the coast path to Cley and get great views over the marshes. The nature reserve there is great for bird lovers. Plenty of local places to eat nearby. The Moorings restaurant does excellent food, but there are many pubs and cafes nearby for more down-to-earth food. If you want to walk the coast path and get the bus back, the Coasthopper bus stops almost outside the door."

Thanks for your review. We're glad you enjoyed your stay in the annex. There are instructions for the appliances in the kitchen cupboard. The central heating is on a timer which you have control of in the annex.

"This is our 4th visit to Bramble Lodge. We have not been disappointed each time. John and Julie provide an excellent breakfast with a wonderful choice. We always have a good welcome and everything is clean and well appointed.The beds are very comfortable. Fresh milk is available in a small fridge near to the bedrooms and there is space for any cold drinks. Wine glasses are provided too.
There is a comfortable lounge next to the dining area, with books, maps and games.
In the summer guests can go into the garden and sit out.
There is ample car parking for everyone.
The lodge is within walking distance of Blakeney village and quay. There are food shops, plus various pubs and restaurants nearby.
We would highly recommend Bramble Lodge."

Tip:
"In the village of Blakeney, there is a pub called The Kings Head where they serve a good variety of home made food. They do not take bookings. Just turn up and look for a table. Also, there are restaurants and hotels which serve food within a short walking distance. They do take bookings. All are very popular in the busy months.
From the quay you can walk and birdwatch. An NT car park is available but you must be careful with tide times as you could get caught out.
Cley is nearby with walks and hides plus a windmill. A lovely Norfolk Wildlife Trust visitor Centre is near to the marsh, where you can shop and have drinks and snacks. Various walks and
hides are available for all the birds.
Further away are National Trust places and other towns, Sherringham, Holt plus many small villages.
There are buses which take you along the coast road.
