"Fantastic location and both Antonia and Richard were really helpful and friendly, giving us lots of advice on places to go. Smithywood itself is beautiful with everything you need for the perfect relaxing stay. The bed is really comfy and the shower is amazing. In fact, the whole place feels very luxurious! If you’re thinking about staying here, don’t think about it - just book it!!! Many thanks for a fantastic stay!"

Tip:
"Beauly has everything you need in terms of cafes and shops. Richard advised us to travel anti-clockwise around Loch Ness which gave us some amazing views. It’s also possible to have a day trip to Skye if you fancy going t bit further afield. Reelig Glen is a great place for a morning or evening dog walk - so peacful."

"nice to meet Richard. great to be given some local knowledge about places of interest as it has been a long time since we visited the area. would be greatful if some trimming of the bushes etc at the entrance were trimmed as it caused some issue with viewing the road some seem to think it a race track. just a minor issue. thanks for a good week."

Tip:
"see notes left but if a particular venue stood out it was the botantics where a nice snack or meal available and could spend a good afternoon. guest to the botanic gardens is by donation though of course the cafe etc is free. no gift shop but quite often plants for sale."

"Smithywood is a first class accomodation for 2, high standard of decoration and excellent facilities. This was our 3rd consecutive visit. Dog Friendly and located in a quiet rural location with enclosed garden area with front porch seating and picnic bench in rear woodland setting. Giant size extremely comfortable bed, large Smart TV and excellent free broadband providing access to TV apps etc.
Highly recommended."

Tip:
"Close to Beauly a few minutes drive, which offers historical sites, Supermarket, numerous cafe and snack facilities as well as Hotels, a number of unique gift shops and high class butcher and baker. Close to Inverness, Culloden Battlefield (NTS), the spectacular Fort George (Historic Scotland), Cawdor Castle( first class, privately owned, lovely gardens and interior). Riverside walks in locality, fishermans walk, River Beauly a must!"

"This is the second time I’ve stayed here and it really is a little hidden treasure. Stayed here with my dog and granddaughter. As my daughter and son in law staying in the other cabin. It was just brilliant being close but having our own cabin.
The cabin has everything you want to make it feel cosy and comfortable.
The location is wonderful and you can access many lovely walks and places from here.
The gardens are lovely and if you’re lucky you’ll see lots of lovely birds. We had a visitor of a red squirrel ♥️ "

Tip:
"We visited Plodda Falls which is lovely. And went on a few of the walks round about the cabin location. Just explore. "

"A really wonderful place to stay. A very well equipped lodge with everything you could need. All the extra touches really make it stand out and that the owners truly care about their guests and their stay.
We came with our children and dog and it was loved by all. So many lovely walks nearby and close to Inverness too. Would definitely stay again."

Tip:
"Recommend the walk to ‘Plodda falls’"
