"The Lodge was amazing. It was very clean and modern. It was cool for June so the log burner was great. Richard visited to make sure we had everything we needed and gave us some tips for walks and places to wild swim. We will definitely be back. Great place for dogs too. "

Tip:
"Glen afflic was a beautiful area to explore. Roggie falls was a beautiful walk. Beauly is a lovely place to explore. The Lodge is close to Inverness for all your needs. "

"Hosts were first class, helpful, communicative and welcoming. Following initial contact upon arrival, visitors are left to enjoy their break but hosts always contactable if required. "

Tip:
"Smithywood Lodge is first class in terms of location, facilities, internal design and high quality living areas, furniture and comfort. Spacious with beautiful views of the surrounding countryside and woodland garden. Local walks are accessible and offer a range of options, many tourist attractions within the area. Beauly, a short drive away offers a large Supermarket, Petrol Station and a number of local independent shops and cafes, even a Chippy!
Large screen Smart TV provides access to the majority of catch up and popular subscription channels, remember to bring your log in details. Excellent WiFi and 4G reception. It’s got the lot!

"If you’re going to Rosemarkie don’t buy takeaway from the cafe on the beach ( on the corner) - name escapes me… it was very expensive and poor quality … I don’t usually complain about things like that… perhaps they were just having an off day …"

"Such a comfortable little lodge in the woods, Antonia and Richard have attended to every need and could not have been more helpful. The location was great for exploring the area, and felt like a tucked away little haven when we returned. This is a holiday we'll remember for a long time."

Tip:
"It's really easy to dodge the crowds and find beautiful walks and viewpoints that you can have all to yourself. North Loch ness, culodden, and fairy pools on skye are tourist hot spots. But we had glen affric almost to ourselves, and the view point at diabaig above Loch torridon was just us and the eagles. There is something beautiful around every corner!"
