"Eva was an excellent host; she was very responsive to all of our needs. The complimentary bicycles came in very handy based on our location. We used them to go to the store, restaurants and the Pickleball court in La Colonia as well as to the beach in Puerto. The weekly maid service was very efficient and very much appreciated. The house is in a gated, safe neighborhood. The location is very convenient because you have easy access to the port side as well as to La Colonia. The price was right for its location . If you don't mind not staying beachside, Los Balcones is a good option."

Tip:
"Because Los Balcones was so close to La Colonia, it gave us the opportunity to be immersed into Mexican culture. We attended local festive activities, played Pickleball every other day at el Domo with expats as well as Mexicans and went to local restaurants. We can highly recommend Tulipan and El Cabana de Puerto. We also went to the Botanical garden which is within walking or biking distance of Puntarena. You will walk on a 2 km trail through a jungle of tropical plants and see a Mayan village. We even saw a monkey jumping from tree to tree right above our heads. "

"We had a wonderful stay at Los Balcones. The building and pool are beautiful and the location is great, overlooking the mangroves and out to the sea.

Eva and her nephew Angel, were super kind and helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. They arranged for us to have bikes during our stay which made getting around Puerto Morelos so easy and enjoyable.

We would love to come back one day!"

"Eva is an amazing and accommodating host. The property is in a gated community and bikes are available for the very short ride to town or the 10-15 minute ride to the beach. Bonus was being provided all the drinking water you need. Also there is a rooftop deck with a view of the jungle all the way to the ocean. And if you like wildlife, there are many birds, iguanas, cerques and even monkeys if your lucky. There is a small pool on premises, but also a slightly larger community pool with palapas for shade. A little store for snacks and such is also at the gate entrance. Can’t say enough positive things about this little oasis."

Tip:
"Go to town for cheap authentic eats. The beach has all you would excpect and Chedarai has all the groceries you need."
