"On arrival we were greeted by Debbie and Jason and given tea and cakes, which was a very nice treat. Extensive breakfast menus explained to us, the choice was amazing. Debbie and Jason are very friendly and welcoming and always available if you have a problem or required any information about the area. The best hosts we have come across in our many years of using guesthouses. Located just a 5 minute walk from the open air theatre and within walking distance to the town and seafront area. Thank you both for making our stay enjoyable. Looking forward to our next visit. "

Tip:
"Use of the front garden for after show drinks and food. Bring your own drinks. Fish and chip shop just down the road. Good range of restaurants in the locality also good bars. "

If you haven’t stayed it, it’s a must!
Highly recommended and gets 5 stars from us!
Adult only.
You are welcomed with refreshments and delicious treats on arrival, Debbie makes the most delicious buns, cakes, flapjacks and chocolates.
You also receive a free parking permit on arrival.
The rooms are lovely, comfortable & cosy.
There’s a fridge with fresh milk and water, an extensive hospitality tray & treat too.
Lots of videos and books are available if you choose to stay in.
The breakfast menu has everything you can think of, all freshly cooked to perfection by Jason.
They cater for everyone, vegetarian, vegan & gluten free too.
Peasholm Park is just down the road.
All other attractions, the town centre and beach are all about 10 minutes walk away."

"The Kensington is truly home from home, with beautifully clean rooms and linen. Debbie and Jason are the perfect hosts - warm, friendly and with a fantastic sense of humour, and nothing is too much trouble for them. The choice and standard of food is exceptional, with home made cakes and preserves, and fabulous generous breakfasts with quality ingredients and imaginative 'specials'. There are lots of special touches here, including an amazing range of refreshments in the rooms, and Debbie's hand made chocolates and fudge in the reception area. Debbie and Jason feel like long standing relatives from the first time you meet them;they are so comfortable to be around and they have a wealth of local information to impart. Prince Kevin of Columbus,the greyhound, is a beautiful addition to the team! A break at the Kensington is memorable, and once you stay here, you will never go anywhere else. Simply fabulous, can't wait to return. "

Tip:
"The India restaurant serves up a great authentic curry,and there is a lovely little bar at the Peasholme end of Columbus Ravine.
Sewerby Hall, gardens and zoo at Bridlington is worth a visit, and the Open Air Theatre is a great venue for a concert.
