30th July 2023:
"We stayed for 8 nights at the Poor House with our own canoes & paddle board. It was an excellent location with easy access to the lake. The House had everything we needed and we cook in all the time so we appreciated the well provisioned kitchen and big dining table. Nigel and Margaret were lovely, very friendly and helpful."

Tip:
"Order supermarket delivery as limited options in Bala, although the greengrocers had very fresh produce and the butcher was very good.
We went to Chester on the one very rainy day but otherwise we were out on the lake, fishing or walking/climbing Snowden as weather was good. Carting at GYG Karting about 20 mins away was superb experience for our 17 & 15 year olds."
