28th June 2026:
"What a fantastic B&B! We booked Braemar on a bit of a whim due to location and cost, but had no idea how much we'd get for our money. The B&B itself is clean, warm and comfortable, in a great location for walking into or out of town, had good transport links and a short drive from Ben Nevis visitor centre. Good supply of bananas and muffins! Needed a fan at one point and the hosts were happy to supply one. Has everything you need for a brilliant stay.
We were delighted to walk into our room and discover that our bedroom window looked straight out onto the Nevis Range! Fantastic views, and such a novelty with the Jacobite steamtrain going past too.
I was disappointed to leave, we had a lovely stay, and thank you very much to Claire and her family for having us! If we come back to Fort William, we'll be hoping to stay at Braemar again :) "

Tip:
"B&B a 20 minute walk from the centre of town. Lots of restaurants and good pubs there and the big morrisons is even closer than the town centre if supplies are needed.
Train enthusiasts can pop into the station to see the steam trains rolling in if looking out the bedroom window isn't close-up enough!
Loch Linnhe also very close for some wonderful views and walking. "

19th June 2026:
"Clean room. Responsive hosts.
Worth noting that if you are not in a car it is quite a long way to walk into town to eat.
Huge bonus though, the Jacobite Steam train runs right behind the property. I got some amazing photos.
We were sharing a bathroom but we never had to wait. A sink in the bedroom would have helped though. "

Tip:
"The Jacobite steam train, although expensive is well worth it. If you don’t care about the magnificent steam locos you can do the same journey byScot Rail.
The Old Deli did a great brunch, the Highland Cinema does great reasonably priced food and The Crannog Restaurant gave us a superb meal. "
