"Absolutely loved our stay at Mangersta. The wind was gale force and the rain came sideways but we were safe and cozy in our pod 😀 Everything we could need was supplied, from washing up liquid to ground coffee. Elsie and Derek were excellent at replying to questions and you get to experience the wilds of Uig with the comfort and convenience of the local shop and cafe. An ideal place to detach and unwind. Definitely recommend 👌 "

Tip:
"The Uig community store has 24hr fuel, a fantastic range of food and gifts, a post office and a laundry.
The Uig community cafe next to the school does fabulous soup and cake. The Dùsgadh Baile na Cille art gallery nearby is worth checking our for current exhibitions.
The Uig Sands restaurant is definitely worth reserving a table before you arrive, worth every penny.
Beaches - Mangersta (of course) Mealasta and Reef beaches all fabulous in sun or rain 🥰

Tip:
"The beach and cliffs are nearby and great to explore. The local shop and community cafe and museum are nearby. WiFi is pretty much non existent "

Thanks for staying and for the nice review of the Red Shepherd’s Hut. Delighted that you had an enjoyable visit and liked the hut and location. (The WiFi is limited in the red hut so it’s the one to choose for a digital detox - it’s fine for checking messages or listening to music but not suitable for remote working) All the best Elsie and Derek

"From the cosy cabin to long walks on beautiful Mangersta Beach I cannot recommend Mangersta Croft holidays highly enough. Ideally located for exploring and long walks with amazing rock formations, rock pools, wild flowers and views we set off every day for fresh adventures and experiences. Elsie and Derek were great hosts. Friendly, helpful and information with knowledge of the area and advice. My thanks to them both for everything. "

Tip:
"Would recommend trying the salt sauna. Excellent buzz with a healthy walk to the beautiful aqua sea for cooling off. Bliss."

"Fantastic stay! We were a group of four from the US which included two littles (3 and 1 year old). The cabins were great, they slept the four of us well and had everything we could need for a comfortable stay. The hosts were friendly and helpful and we enjoyed their company as we saw them around. The walk down to the beach was very doable and the beach was beautiful and fun for us all. "
