"We received a very friendly welcome and lots of advice about places to visit All the recommendations were really good. Both Elsie and Derek were very helpful and took time to chat to us about the croft and the area. they are both talented artists."

Tip:
"The community shop is really good as is the cafe at the community centre lovely cakes there. The local museum is worth a visit to get an understanding of the area. we lost count of the number of sandy beaches we visited.
Uig Sands is a good quality restaurant but you need to book in advance. the area around Mangersta is special."

"A wonderful little shepherds hut just big enough for the two of us and the dogs. Lovely warm welcome on arrival and what a treat to have a beach only a 5 minute walk sway. The only thing missing that would have made it A* was a larger outside seating area, maybe on a little decking area at the front. "

Tip:
"Definitely worth a walk to Mangersta beach both during the day and in the evening. Uig community cafe was a lovely stop post dog walk for a cuppa and a slice of cake. "
