"Definitely one of the best b&B's we've ever stopped at, the hosts Lesley and Mike were so hospitable and helpful. The actual accommodation namely the Blue Room was perfect, lovely views over the vast garden and the River Leny beyond and the room itself had a full complement of facilities and so very comfortable. We find it impossible to criticize in any way, would definitely stay again."

Tip:
"We had our evening meals for our 3 night stay at the Crown in Callander which were really good and within a 10 minute walk from The Westerton. We visited Rob Roys grave at Balquidher,drove The Trossachs Trail and went to Aberfoyle which is a nice town. Callander itself is an interesting town which still retains a little bit of how things used to be pre burger establishments."

"The house itself is stunning with original features and bags of character. The garden sweeps down to the river and sitting watching the birds and pheasants whilst eating breakfast and from our room was a real pleasure. We stayed in the Blue Room; it was absolutely beautiful. Attention to detail was magnificent from brilliant, crisp bedding to fresh milk for tea and coffee in our room; from huge, fluffy towels to lovely complimentary toiletries. There is plenty of choice for breakfast and all was delicious and beautifully presented. Mike and Lesley are superb hosts being extremely friendly and helpful. They provided lots of suggestions for walks, things to do and places to eat. We had a lovely few days here and will definitely come back!"

Tip:
"Eat at the Potting Shed, it's quirky with lovely food! (To find it you need to go down a fairly dark lane - Lesley lent us a torch!). Walks from the house along the old railway line were easy going but provided beautiful views. There are circular routes up onto the hills that you can add on for a bit more adventure! Stirling Castle is fantastic and well worth a visit, Killin is very pretty and Loch Lomond isn't too far."

"Recommend climbing Ben A'an and Conic Hill. Glen voyle was a really nice walk with drink at Mhor hotel atmospheric but expensive!
