"Happy to recommend The Pheasant Inn on the outskirts of Keswick for a great choice of food and The Square Orange tapas bar in the town centre. For the more adventurous, try one of the adrenelin challenges at Honister Slate Mine."

"The best B&B we’ve stayed in! John was extremely helpful, friendly and flexible (we arrived later than expected). The room was beautiful and very comfortable, with a large bed and huge bathroom. We looked forward to the delicious cooked breakfast each morning and enjoyed the extra luxuries, such as the bath with colour-changing spotlights! WiFi was fast and reliable. I’ll be recommending Lord’s Seat to friends and family and hope to return myself soon!"

"We did the Honister via ferrata on our first day (not for the faint hearted) and hiked up Scafell Pike the next day - stunning scenery. "
