"We were welcomed when we arrived and all our queries answered very helpfully and efficiently. Everything on the site was pristine and we had brilliant views of and access to the forest. We stayed on a hardstanding serviced pitch which worked well but it would have been good if the hardstanding area had been larger, we could only just fit our car and caravan onto it. Having said that there was plenty of parking elsewhere. Also the different levels of the hardstanding and grass area did not work so well for a caravan which we backed in. This meant that our door did not open onto flat grass which was the other side from the caravan door. "

Tip:
"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and explored the local area. We went to Ross on Wye, Symonds Yat Rock and the Wye Valley, Goodrich Castle, and Mallards Pike which had a lovely lake next to a cafe and toilets. All within a shortish drive from the site. "

"Greeted by friendly and informative staff. Facilities spotlessly clean. We were in a motorhome on a large level gravel area near to facilities block, with a grassed picnic area just below. Location was very quiet and relaxing.
Enclosed dog walk area onsite.
Overall, we loved it. My dog was in woody trail heaven. "

Tip:
"Access to forest walking and cycling trails direct from site. Trails were as challenging as you would like them to be, hiking and biking. We were probably just at end of summer season. Only saw 5 persons in about 4 hours of cycling and dog walking. "
