"Jacqui and Dave are brilliant owners - very helpful, but not intrusive at all. The cottage is warm and comfortable and has all the facilities you could possibly need. The wi-fi is strong. This is my third time at The Sheiling and if I'm back in Shetland, I'll certainly stay again."

Tip:
"Scalloway is a lovely little town and I felt it was nice to be out of Lerwick. It's only a few minutes drive into Lerwick, for its facilities. There's a well-stocked little supermarket in Scalloway, open until 10pm, which I used. The food in the bar at The Scalloway Hotel is great."

" We stayed for 9 nights, in great comfort with all we wanted provided for, even an overnight trickle charge for a flat battery! Very kind and helpful hosts with whom we will stay again next year."

Tip:
"Local hotel has several rosettes for its catering and there are several other places locally with a good reputation for food. Shop has simply everything. Used to be the ancient capital of Shetland with old ruined castle and a new museum. Lerwick only 15 minutes away by car. Good bus service. Good base for touring the whole archipelago."
