"Pauline and David are very kind, warm and generous hosts. They offer their guests a stylish and homely atmosphere. The house and the guest room are absolutely stunning, as is the view over the town. The breakfast is excellent: the hot dishes are superb. They also provide an extremely extensive buffet featuring, amongst other things, various fruit salads, home-made accompaniments, breads and a selection of rolls, cold cuts and much more."

"Pauline and David were exceptional hosts! Their home is absolutely wonderful. It was the nicest place we stayed in Scotland and it was the least expensive. They even packed a to-go breakfast and lunch for my husband as he went fishing for the day. "

"Don't hesitate to book your stay with them in the charming and wonderful town of Pitlochry. Would go back in a second! The town has lots to offer and Pauline will provide lots of insight on shopping and restaurants. We loved Fern Cottage the best for dining."

"Pitlochry is a favourite destination of ours and we visit frequently. This is the first time we have stayed at Northlands and we certainly hope to return. The proprietors are very friendly and knowledgeable of their district. Their accommodation is first class, breakfast is a delight and along with their other guests we were made extremely welcome in their comfortable home. "

Tip:
"We would recommend eating out at The Auld Smiddy, Cidsin Bistro (Indian), Fern Cottage and Victoria's. The Pitlochry Theatre is well worth a visit. The area is surrounded with beautiful scenery and walkers shall never be disappointed with the views. The Highland Chocolatier, The Enchanted Forest in Autumn, and one of the many whisky distilleries in the area, are all worth a visit. The Pitlochry New year is very special, when they hold a street party on the 1st January, with live Scottish music and dancing in the streets. Even if you do not know the dances, someone will be willing to show you how to join in. Pitlochry has a beautiful golf course, putting green and hosts it's annual Highland Games each September. The Pitlochry Dam is an amazing site, and has it's own visitors centre. The "House of Bruar", not far away, is a terrific retail centre with restaurants. Visit nearby Blair Castle which has a wonderful, history and can fill a whole day. Easy train journeys can be made from Pitlochry Station, to Perthshire or the Highlands, in a day. You need never be bored whilst staying in this area."
