"My wife and I have just returned home after another fabulous stay at Northlands Bed and Breakfast, which we first visited in the summer of 2015. We love it so much that we try to revisit twice a year and have done so (excluding the Covid era, obviously). As soon as we pull into the drive, we feel so at home.

I cannot praise Northlands highly enough. In my opinion, there is no finer place to stay in this part of Scotland. For us, Pitlochry has changed from be a port-of-call on the road to somewhere further afield, to being a destination in its own right, worthy of further exploration and time. The reason for that is due to the skill, professionalism and all-encompassing wonderfulness of the hosts, Pauline and David Duncan. They are the most affable and genuine people you could wish to meet. As always, they were waiting to greet as we parked the car, just as they did the first time we came a decade ago and gave us the most wonderful warm welcome.

Pauline and David's knowledge of the area, its history and their understanding of what is going on in and around Pitlochry today is encyclopaedic. Should you wish, they will always be happy to provide you with information and ideas to help make your stay as interesting and as enjoyable as possible. I find the there is always something new to learn. For example, on this occasion, on hearing our proposed itinerary for our second day, Pauline immediately advised us about road closures en-route and suggested a more direct route rather than the more circuitous official diversion. You don't need Alexa or any form of AI when you can simply ask a real-life Pauline!

Staying at Northlands is a chance for us to relax and recharge our batteries and the breakfasts are delicious. All dietary requirements are catered for. The homemade marmalade, jams and fruit compote are lovely and the choice is second to none. I love the vegetarian breakfast, with stir fried butterbeans, mushrooms, tomatoes and a poached egg, on a homemade tattie scone but every breakfast I've had the pleasure to eat at Northlands has been a joy, served in the magnificent dining room.

The three rooms are beautifully decorated, and are warm, comfortable and cosy, the perfect place to return to after a day exploring and a lovely dinner in town. The wee dram is also most welcome.

We believe that there is no finer place to stay in Pitlochry than Northlands. Book it; you will not be disappointed. We look forward to returning in the near-future."
