"We booked here for 2 nights as a base for some nice walks. Richard gave us a warm welcome and shared his knowledge of the walks along with advice on the town. We had a lovely time and a sound sleep in Room 4. Unfortunately due a back injury I had to check out a day early. But as I hobbled out Wendy went above and beyond to guide us via a shorter route to our car. Both their kindness went a long way and we are so grateful for that. Hopefully I can come back another day."

"So friendly and welcoming allowed me to feel at home for the three nights I stayed and gave brilliant advice about how to see almost all of the lake district in just a few days!! Felt so comfortable and had one of the best experiences of my life staying here at a price that made an experience I thought I couldn't afford affordable to me!"
