"Highland coos. Shetland pony and deers all round the site to see, a lovely cafe 20 min walk away, managed to see and hear the seals over the cliff not far from the cafe. Amazing walks and views all round the site."

"Well maintained fully serviced pitches. Middle pitch needed levelling side to side and ehu was a stretch. Moved to far end pitch as it became vacant which was level. Provision of grey waste pipe a nice touch. Dogs were fascinated by the robot mower. Nice peaceful stay. Getting in and out with 8m twin axle caravan needed some care. "

Tip:
"Walk from Ravenscar to Robinhood Bay along cliffs and back on beach a nice day trip with a fossil hunt. Beach safe 3 hours either side if low tide. Watch out for seals by the steps back. Recommend the bistro (dog’s outside) for lunch or Cove (dog friendly) for coffee with a view. Falcon inn epic Sunday lunch (dog friendly section) and nice evening meal. Prebook. Steam railway has engine shed tours at Grosmont not obvious from web site. Monday and Friday. Prebook. "

"So pleased we found Smugglers Rock. The site is peaceful and relaxing and is impeccably kept. Each pitch has its own water tap and grey waste pipe which meant we didn’t have to use our own. It also has a double tap adapter which means you don’t have to disconnect the water pipe to top up the toilet. The grass is kept short by Merv the robot mower … brilliant to sit and watch him at work. Whilst we didn’t use them there are picnic tables available opposite the pitches.
I liked being able to book on line and Sharon quickly answered my email enable me to book the dates we wanted. We met Mike and he is very friendly & helpful. We received a welcoming email the evening of our arrival to check that everything was ok.
We would have liked to stay a little longer but sadly the pitches were all booked up … we did make quite a late booking though! We will definitely be back and have no hesitation in recommending this beautiful CL site. "

Tip:
"Runswick Bay is a firm favourite of ours. We also like Staithes, Robin Hood’s Bay and Whitby. Further afield Saltburn on Sea is a lovely place to visit. Our main reason for our stay was to attend a concert at the outdoor theatre in Scarborough which is a great venue and a special night out. "
