"A wonderful place to stay! Fantastic location overlooking the bay wth sweeping views from our large bedroom. The host, May, is extremely kind and helpful, making us toast and coffee when we arrived too late to go out for a meal, and arranging emergency dental care for my husband, all with minimal fuss. Breakfast was also brilliant, with a n imaginative menu of cooked options as well as fruit, cereals, porridge and toast. May also provided homemade cake for us every day."

Tip:
"The Ferry Inn in Stromness was good for interesting food in a laidback atmosphere.
Stromness itself is quaint and friendly. Great for birdwatching."

"This was, by far, one of the best places that my parents and I stayed during our two weeks traveling through Scotland. May was very friendly and helpful, finding a restaurant and getting us reservations the first night we arrived. The B&B is beautiful, located in a wonderful location right on the bay across from where the ferry came in, but far enough away to not detract from the scenic views. My parents and I loved the sitting room outside of the main rooms, and sat there discussing the day's events and planned for the next. Unfortunately the weather prevented us from sitting outside. I know the B&B is up for sale. I hope the new owners keep it to its present standards. I would definitely consider coming back."
