"Thank you May, everything was wonderful! Breakfast was always tasty, the rooms were comfortable and had anything you could want, and having extra room in the showers was a treat after squeezing into tiny ones the rest of our trip :) it was also super helpful to have an option for laundry service. May goes out of her way to make you feel comfortable and at home. "

Tip:
"Make sure to book restaurants and car ferries in advance. We planned our trip last minute and lucked out coming toward the end of tourist season and in the middle of the week, but it definitely would have been more difficult if we had come on a weekend.

Also if you enjoy cycling and want to get more out of what you’re seeing, I highly recommend Amanda at Ride Orkney. She provided bikes and helmets, took care of ferry and museum entry tickets, and gave us an amazing cycle tour of the island of Hoy."

"Button Ben has to be the best guesthouse/ accommodation I have stayed in. The location with it’s fabulous view, the warmth, friendliness and helpfulness of May the owner, the thought put into all the facilities, and the beautifully cooked breakfast, all made this a wonderful place to stay.
The accommodation was spotlessly clean and the bedding was sumptuous.
I can’t fault a thing!"

Tip:
"As May advised, it was important to book places to eat and prebook tours around sites. We had a lovely meal at the Harbour Inn in Stromness and the staff were helpful and friendly there.
The bus drivers were quite happy to drop us off between bus stops if it was more convenient for us. Everyone is very helpful and friendly.
