7th January 2026:
"We really enjoyed the granary .have yo say it is by far the nicest property we have stayed in .everything you need is provided .and it's a real home from home .already recommended to several friends .even found a handy bag of salt to use due to the snow made access in the car difficult .the tv remote was a bit temperamental maybe new battery needed apart from the power cut first night absolutely faultless and we will certainly return for another visit .the xmas tree was nice too thankyou .the dog was well catered for asvwell with the lovely walks down into the nature reserve .you certainly have the most wonderful location and the surrounding g area is a walkers delight .maybe a smart tv in the lounge in the future ."

"The granary is absolutely delightful .warm comfortable and well equipped .the nearest decent supermarket is in alnwick a 30 minute drive so take all you need for the first few days .the location is superb easy to find and so peaceful.lovely walks from the property and the national park is 10 minute away we found a couple of nice pubs in wooler serving decent d
Food at very reasonable prices .there a really nice walk around the lakes from the cottage .the plough pub at the bottom of the lane is a nice cafe during the day serving good food and drinks .it opens as pub at 4 pm by does not serve food. The kings head pub in glanton does excellent food .there is a good garage and mini market in powburn if you want for any thing like milk eggs .and other goods reasonably priced too "
