"I appreciated the prompt responses that I got to my queries and the help in finding the location!
The accommodation was absolutely perfect and the views were breathtaking, as was the peace and quiet - just the birdsong and the sheep and lambs calling to each other!
It had everything we needed and was so comfortable - we have already booked for next year.

Tip:
"We went down to the Quarry nature reserve at the bottom of the field in front of the accommodation and it was the most perfect spot, we're planning on spending an afternoon there when we return next year (they do provide folding garden chairs you can take out!)
Although located in a small village, the main road through is really good and you can get to many places very easily, so we found it's a good base to operate from. We went to Lindisfarne (about a 45 minute drive) and Bamburgh (about a 35 minute drive), and Alnwick is only about 30 minutes away.
And you can return to the peace and tranquility of the accommodation at the end of the day!
The little garage in Powburn has pretty much all the groceries you would need to stock up on to self cater, or there's a bakery / pub within about a 10 minute walk which we didn't try but will certainly do so when we go back."

"The Granary Cottage is perfect for a holiday in Northumberland. The setting is so beautiful and peaceful and within 20 / 30 minutes of lots of castles and beaches.

We've never stayed in such a comfortable and well equipped holiday home. The owners even provided a telescope to view the stars in the night sky - we were lucky to have a clear night and did just this.

We enjoyed our stay so much that we're already talking about visiting again next year."
