"The accommodation is peaceful with stunning views over the Cheviots. Everything has been thought of from emergency torches to a well stocked bookcase and information. I was able to read "Cragside" which was next on my list - how did you know? It was immaculately clean and furnished to a high standard. Loved having the garden and watching Robert do his grass cutting! Thank you for the voucher for our anniversary, very thoughtful as well as the welcome pack items. We look forward to our week again next year. "

Tip:
"This is a great location, off the beaten track but a 10 minute walk to the Running Fox/Plough Inn at Powburn. We did a lovely walk round Branton lake directly from the cottage. Easy access to visit Alnwick/Boulmer/Craster in one direction and up to Wooler and Berwick in the other. So lovely to come back to beautiful scenery after a day walking on the coastal paths. Fabulous accommodation and definitely recommend. "

"If you love peace and Nature and dislike the trappings of “human entertainment” then this is paradise!

Lovely people, fantastic views across the Cheviots. If heaven is half as good as this, then I hope that I am good enough to get there!"

Tip:
"We love Wallington House and grounds (National Trust) The walled garden is amazing and the house is incredible.

We also visited Alnwick Castle (not dog friendly but we recently lost our dog so decided to visit.
Belsay Hall, Castle and Grounds are well worth a visit (English Heritage) but check for events days if you prefer a quieter experience.

If you are interested in Victorian inventions and innovation then Cragside House and grounds is a must!
