"The location is really peaceful and the cottage very cosy, comfortable and relaxing, but great for those wanting to expend more energy too, with the gym and games room, as well as the big grass playing area and play equipment. The kitchen is very small, with no dishwasher, which is fine if there are just two to four guests and you are mostly eating out, but with a full quota of eight guests, even just making breakfast and snacks seems to create a lot of washing up when one is used to a dishwasher at home! The use of a laundry room was a bonus. The hosts were very responsive in sorting out minor things that needed attention. "

"The little zoo, the Fenn Bell Conservation Project, next to the Fenn Bell Inn, is just opposite the lane leading to Stable Cottages. It is well worth a visit, particularly for younger children. The Horseshoe & Castle in Cooling served our party of 10 a very good lunch. In Chatham, the Naval Dockyards are very interesting, although tickets are expensive. We enjoyed eating at Ship and Trades nearby while our electric car was recharging in the car park. In Rochester itself, the Huguenot Museum was most interesting, and staff can check if you have Huguenot ancestry. "
