"We absolutely loved our time staying at Long Mountain Centre, and would highly recommend it to other families looking for affordable self catering accommodation in an absolutely stunning location. The fact that it is doggy friendly is an absolute bonus."

Tip:
"We used Long Mountain as a base to explore the beautiful and historic Welsh border region. There are endless scenic options for driving and hiking if the weather is good - for hiking we loved Lake Vrynwy and the Pistyll Rhaeadr waterfall, and the Pontcysyllte aqueduct (where a canal spans a narrow valley) is fabulous. There are many English/Welsh heritage sites in the area (a number of which have free entry) - unique and enchanting Stokesay Castle is the pick of the bunch. Both Shrewsbury and Chester are pretty and historic towns that would be good in both good and bad weather, and Welshpool is a very pleasant regional centre that offers a range of supermarkets and independent shops. "

"Exceptional views and location; beautiful surroundings; gorgeous setting; horses all around to greet you on arrival and every morning, which was a definite bonus! So peaceful and quiet; a little secluded piece of paradise! Owner is welcoming and very friendly. The young ladies who help out with horse riding treks were ever so nice and friendly too. Our 9 year old's horse ride was the highlight of her stay! This was our 2nd stay there and we loved it. The log cabins are spacious and spotless. Highly recommend if you're after a quiet break away from big cities and busy places. Absolutely perfect!
Only downside was the poor wifi connection, but did not spoil anything for me!"

Tip:
"Shrewsbury is only a short drive away and a beautiful place to visit too, with a variety of restaurants; lots of choice for vegan options too!
Can't recommend Long Mountain enough!"
