"We very much enjoyed staying on the estate, and Joanna was very friendly and welcoming whenever we saw her. The Bothy was very cosy and the heating and provision of hot water was good. "

"We particularly enjoyed the Applecross Inn and the Chinese takeaway at Kyle. Just above Eilean Donan Castle, the views from Carr Brae were very good. Sand was an accessible beach on the Applecross peninsula, and we enjoyed the views from Sligachan and Ullinish on Skye.

"We loved our stay at East Bothy and would highly recommend. It was our first stay and we would be delighted to return. Clearly investment had been made in new windows and a new heating system, and the log burner was wonderful so we were cosy and warm. Our cat Frodo was very comfortable ! Everything was there that you would need in a holiday cottage, and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom could do with an update really, but it was functional and it is understandable that not everything can be done at once. The excellent laundry facilities at the main house were a real bonus and very helpful.
The setting at Attadale is glorious, with lovely views.
The gardens were beautiful, and the hosts very welcoming, allowing guests to wander freely around the estate. The location was fantastic, really quiet and relaxing. Lovely to have the deer welcoming us at the gate, and they were to be seen regularly. We also saw red squirrels. We would love to return ! It was a great location for us meeting up with friends on Skye and in Inverness, but Attadale itself is a great place for a holiday. Thank you."

Tip:
"Inverewe Gardens (NT) further up the west coast are really worth visiting. A little train ride makes a nice change, with Attadale request stop just a short walk through from the gardens and across the road. We got off at Plockton and enjoyed a visit there. Lochcarron Weavers have some lovely knitwear. Carron Pottery is worth a visit too. Skye is not far away and easily accessible for a day visit. Tbh it was lovely just “being” at Attadale and we walked the gardens each day. Lovely to get off the roundabout and enjoy the beauty of nature all around us. No need to go very far if you don’t want to !"
