"Janine and Mark were superb hosts and the cabins are just perfect for those wishing to experience mull. Loch na keal is the perfect base for getting close access to wildlife (deer, otters and both eagle sp. on your doorstep!) and you can get to other parts of the island with ease too. The cabin is cosy and well equipped, with only comments being you could do with one more wooden spoon, and that the wifi for the tv was slightly temperamental (although, when you are in nature that really doesn't matter!) Loved it and would happily return again!"

"We really recommend a day trip to Ulva and a visit to the boathouse. The wildlife cruises from Tobermory are brilliant (if you are lucky with the weather like we were!) with several marine mammals and seabirds to see. Cycle mull in Salen is a brilliant way to see the island as the e-bikes enabled us to go long distances even when it got hilly! For wildlife, the south side of loch na keal towards Ben More is great for golden eagles, whereas white tailed eagles can be seen easily from the north side of the loch. On a calm day look out on the water for slavonian grebes, divers and other water birds. For otters, go either side of low tide when the kelp is exposed, sit and wait for an hour or so and scan the islands and with luck you will see one! "

"This is the best place we have ever stayed. The standard of lodge is very high and the location perfect. Can’t recommend it highly enough. The owners are delightful.
Deer come to the lodge in the evenings."
