"Cheverton is a perfect place for families or groups of adults; we've done both over the years. It's the best equipped self catering we've ever stayed in. Everything has been thought of. Children and dog equipment too.
It's a working farm where busy life goes on around you but you don't feel in the way. You can say hello to whichever animals are around, farm animals, farm pets or workers like Jem, the collie. It's friendly and relaxed. Super meat and bacon at the farm shop. Great bird life too with larks, goldfinches, collar doves, red kites and even occasional sighting of white tailed eagle.
Claudia is super helpful and accessible when you book; she'll even book the ferry for you.
There are lovely walks around the farm; a fifteen minute climb through glorious views gets you to a hilltop fire pit with seats carved out of fallen trees, great for a barbecue or an evening glass or two.
There's something to do whatever the weather, a super sunny private courtyard with comfy seating and dining, all the walks and a great little children's play area with a trampoline. If it rains there's the indoor pool, deliciously warm, snooker room, table tennis, table football, etc and indoors a huge sitting room with TV, games and books."

"Although there aren't lots of eating places nearby the kitchen's super equipped if you like to cook and there's a handy co-op in Carrisbrook as well as the farm shop.
Nothing's that far away on the island and Osborne House is fab, even for youngsters and Carrisbrook Castle is just down the road and not to be missed. It is the best castle ever and it has the bonus of donkeys who work the ancient well. We love Freshwater Bay and near it are Farringford, the house where Tennyson the poet lived with its fabulous walled garden (you have to book) and Dimbola where the early photographer, Julia Margaret Cameron lived and worked. "

"Great house in a fabulous location. The house was spotless, has everything you need and there is a glorious view from every window. The extra jewel in the crown was the farm and all of its facilities - we loved the pool and totally fell in love with the donkeys. They are blooming gorgeous! Claudia was a great host, really friendly and made us feel really welcome. If you are thinking about booking, do it, you won’t be disappointed!"

Tip:
"Great location with easily access to the rest of the island. Lots of walks straight from the house and we discovered some quieter parts of the island which we really loved. If you like nature and being close to the outdoors, this is a excellent place!"

"What a beautiful place, we had a lovely time celebrating family birthdays. The house is lovely is lovely especially the lounge which is a gorgeous room with a great view. The bedrooms and bathrooms worked really well for our group of 9 never needing to wait for a toilet to be free. The big table in the kitchen works really well too. Claudia is a great host, very friendly and full of lots of information about the farm. The pool and other facilities are great too. Thanks for a great stay we would love to come back."

"Make sure you visit the fire pit above the farm it is a lovely spot day or night."
