Owners keep in touch before the date of your stay and keep in touch. If there are any issues, they are contactable by phone. Both cottages on the site are lovely, well equipped, clean and in a great location.

If you are eating out, book your evening meals at the pubs in advance - they are popular and get full.

Had a great week in Thimble Cottage. Especially as it is a very cool place to stay in very hot weather. Extra convenient is the easy parking. Youlgreave is a lovely place to stay. The tearooms/shop and village stores are perfect if you do not want to travel away from the village. Great walks from the door (as long as you don't mind hills) Can't wait to go back Thank you Rachel

Just had the most perfect stay at thimble cottage . It’s small but perfectly formed. The location is great, with its own dedicated parking space. Nice pubs on your doorstep and a particular shout out to the YHA. Great food. The cottage has a super comfy sofa, small kitchen ( but everything you need in it) . The bathroom is modern, light and airy . The bedroom really cosy with crisp white sheets. The host has been lovely and couldn’t be more helpful

Tips for other travellers

The yha does an evening meal on Friday and Saturday. Excellent quality and a 10 second walk. Beautiful bathing spot on the river just down the hill

Lovely cozy cottage. In the village with pubs and shops. Walks from the door into beautiful Lathkill Dale.
