If you want to eat out, do book in one of three pubs, they get very busy.

Very much enjoyed our stay. Such a comfortable and cosy cottage, a real home from home. Everything is five star. I had a small problem (which wasn’t the owner’s fault) , contacted her and she came and sorted it straight away. Great communication and service. Fantastic property.

Very clean with everything we needed. Nice enclosed garden, very important with dogs. We a very good relaxing week.

Tips for other travellers

The village is a good base for trips out. The walk along the river is lovely, we saw a kingfisher and a heron. Bakewell is lovely town, they have a market on Monday which is worth going to.
