Great communication from Rachel before & during our stay. Cottage was clean & the welcome pack was greatly appreciated. Parking space opposite the cottage was also a bonus with limited parking in the area. Booked on the recommendation of a friend & so glad we did. Definitely be back soon for another visit.

Cottage is in a great location in the village with good pubs within a stroll. Bulls Head served excellent food & bar staff were very welcoming. Food also very good in the Farmyard Inn. We enjoyed a walk into Bakewell & a lively walk along the river. Definitely enough to keep you busy for a few days without using the car.

Our second stay in Tweedle Dee cottage and was just as lovely as the first. Everything you would need for a comfortable stay. High quality furnishings throughout, although an old cottage it has a modern facilities with lots of character. Enclosed garden is great for the dog and a lovely private sun trap for sitting outside. Rachel is a great host with good communication and we enjoyed the fabulous welcome pack. Thank you, we will be returning for sure.

Superb village setting, 3 pubs, 2 village stores and bakery all within a few meters. Beautiful walks straight from the cottage. Would recommend The George pub for a relaxed friendly atmosphere and great home cooked food, decent portions too. Peak feast bakery is wonderful for bread, cakes and vegetarian and vegan goodies. The village store has a wide selection of filled rolls(cobs) panini’s, cooked breakfasts, meat pies, pasties, a deli counter and more delicious cakes. The post office stores stocks everything needed for the wood burner.

Great cottage and location, it had every we needed and had a great stay. The only thing I would say the longe could do with better lighting in the evenings.

Hi Katherine, Thank you for your feedback. We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay, thank you for booking with us. There are various lamps in the sitting room plus a directional one for reading but we will certainly review the lighting, thank you for letting us know. Kind Regards, Rachel
