I cannot fault anything with this beautiful house. From the warm welcome from the host, to the cleanliness, cosy room, beautiful view and most importantly the well equipped kitchen, I was bowled over. As a single traveller on a dark and rainy night, I did not want to eat out. So I was able to prepare my own dinner and dines in a such tranquil place. The conservatory was also very warm and cosy.

Not able to comment as I did not use these facilities. However, the host is very informative and there are lots of information in the reception area.

Absolutely loved our stay at Southpark House, peaceful and quiet in a beautiful rural setting just a stone’s throw from Dumfries. Our room was extremely well appointed as was the ensuite which benefitted from both a bath and a shower. The guest kitchen was an excellent facility which enabled us to buy our evening meal from M&S and enjoy it back at Southpark House. The breakfast was absolutely lovely, freshly prepared, excellent quality and with a lovely big pot of tea! Excellent all round!

The Boathouse Restaurant and Shop on the estuary just outside Dumfries was great - we enjoyed a lovely lunch there and bought some chutneys and jams from the shop to take back as presents.

Home from home. Comfortable and well equipped, with a separate kitchen with everything you could need. Delicious breakfast. Ewan is a great host.

Swan at the Quay, very nice place and delicious meal. Haggis bon-bon starter was amazing and I'd have again in a heartbeat! India Palm in Dumfries, excellent meal, good service, reasonable price.
