Haystacks is a great hike. Both walks around each lake are lovely for those who don't like it too extreme. Steak and Ale pie is a must have. If you like your ale the wainwright amber ale is the perfect match.

Our stay was wonderful - everything was just as we expected. Our room was lovely, clean and quiet. The bed was comfortable which was needed after our hikes. The staff was friendly and helpful. The food was great! Special shout out for amazing scones.

I would recommend packing hiking boots, and waterproofs and getting out exploring the fells. Fleethwith Pike, Haystacks, High Greg, High Stile, Red Pike are all amazing with wonderful views (in good weather conditions). There is a lovely walk to Scale Force Waterfall that is not difficult.
