The Tradesman's Arms is a short walk away, for a cosy post-hike meal and pint!

Location is excellent, we did use an OS map to physically find the property. Very nice that Joe introduced himself and welcomed us. Particularly like the no music instruction!

Superb walking and cycling country, first time back to Dartmoor for 26 years so especially good to revisit old haunts. Holne is a good place to base yourself, shop in the village is very good. Pub at Scorriton is very nice. But the whole area is best seen to be explored and savoured.

Great site. It's well located, very close to Dartmoor but also pretty easy to access. The final part of the route is narrow, but typical of the area. The site is well laid out, attractive and the toilets and showers work well and were v clean. It's very handy having a fridge freezer. I wasn't that impressed though with the idea of paying to charge my phone - that seems a touch mean. We loved the stay and would definitely come back.

Get a physical OS map to plan walks to help with on line maps. Make sure you've downloaded maps as, on some of the moor, you won't get a data signal.
