Loch Maree Hotel

Wonderful, cozy inn. I adored the armchair in my room with a view of the loch. The closet hadn't been vacuumed, but otherwise clean. Staff are very friendly and helpful but stretched a bit thin - some efficiencies on breakfast service would be useful to consider as there was an element of duplication (both staff asking the same tables the same questions) and seriving late arrivals before earlier ones.

The servers for our dinner/breakfast could not have been more helpful, pleasant and professional, so great!

A wonderful loch-view stay with fantastic Scottish hospitality! We had a great stay here. On arrival, we were welcomed by Petra, who made the check-in process incredibly easy and showed us to our wonderful, well-appointed loch-view room. The bar and main lounge were cozy, warm, and very well-stocked. They have plenty of bottles of local beer—and why would you not try the local brew? There are also two other snug lounges if you are looking for a bit of privacy. A big thank you to Duncan, as we thoroughly enjoyed a small whisky tasting with him! Both dinner and breakfast were great, with plenty of choices on offer, including a tasty, well-cooked traditional Scottish breakfast. A few minor things to note that come down to personal preference: the shower was over the bath, and the bed was a little too soft for us, though we still slept very well. The interior has a lot of character, though some might see it as a bit outdated. Finally, because the hotel’s water comes from a private stream/well, the shower pressure is a little low and the tap water isn't drinkable, but the hotel thoughtfully supplies plenty of bottled water to make up for it. Overall, a wonderful experience
