We had a fantastic stay in JP Lodge, the accommodation is beautiful, comfortable and well equipped, it also has a lovely view and we couldn't fault it! We had a great meal in the pub as well!

Penny, Anton and the staff were all extremely welcoming. The Lodge had everything we needed and was very clean. The food was absolutely amazing with so much choice. You could stay a month and not eat the same meal twice.

We enjoyed visiting Pooley Bridge and would definitely recommend. There is a car park behind The Sun Inn that has plenty of space and only charges £4 for the day. If visiting Aira Force Waterfalls get there before 10am as the car park is small and soon fills up.

Such an enjoyable part of our journey up to Scotland and we by chance found this accommodation. Such old world charm with friendly helpful staff. Anton and Penny chatted to us at breakfast about the area and places to visit. Anton highly recommended we pop in to Lowther Castle. Wow what an experience.

Lowther castle is a must to visit. Anton said it was like a fairytale castle, it certainly was. We spent 2 and a half hours wandering around the castle and grounds. Absolutely well worth it.

Very welcoming and friendly team. Unique place with a few quirky cabins, we were in log yurt one which is standalone with parking outside and backs onto sheep fields. Spacious and comfortable (esp the bed). We’ll be back.

The food served is good quality pub food with a few interesting dishes - see online menu. Local walks from the village and a short drive into Eastern Lakes or else deepest Yorkshire the other way. Only 10 mins from M6 so great for a stopover on longer trips. Highly recommended ☺️.
