Very enjoyable stay at the Strickland Arms Yurt - the accommodation was clean and spacious with a very comfortable, large, double bed. Breakfast was included and was good - hot and all freshly cooked. Evening meal menu had a large selection and the pies chosen were very good and the puds lovely ( crumble and bread and butter pudding with ice cream) delicious!! Would stay again when in the area.

A great place to stay in lovely countryside with Lowther castle a couple of miles away with some great walks or cycling if you prefer. We will definitely be back!

Stayed one night in the LogYurt. Simple, clean, cosy and comfortable accommodation. Booked dinner in the pub. Lovely home cooked food. Amazing breakfast too.

We were only there one night but we enjoyed a wander to Pooley Bridge, Ullswater and Aria Falls, returning via Lowther Castle as recommended by our hosts and Appleby.
