What a lovely welcome we received. Cosy pub.. fabulous food and a breakfast full of exceedingly delicious local produce. Our Log Yurt was comfortable and spacious. Ideal place on the edge of the Lakes and east access to M6 for onward journeys. Staff are so friendly and helpful. We will be back!

We only stayed one night this time so can recommend other restaurants. It’s 20 minutes from Pooley Bridge.. a delightful village with a selection of pubs and cafes.

The location is great, the pub is a great place, no noisy music and a nice mix of clientele. All of the staff are lovely, we were met by a really nice young lady who asked about allergies then showed us to our accommodation, in this case the shepherds hut. It was lovely and more than we expected. The bed was really comfortable and the shower was excellent too. We didn't need the heating on and it felt really cosy. The menu is extensive but my wife and I went for the pies, they take a little longer to arrive but they are freshly cooked they were amazing. There's a good choice of drinks, I don't drink alcohol and I was pleased to find Guiness 0.0 the wine is in small bottles. The breakfast is chosen the night before which I think helps with the organisation in the morning, it was excellent, the nicest sausage I've eaten in a while too. Anton and Penny are lovely hosts and you can see that a lot of effort has gone into the property to give it some uniqueness. As a very keen cyclist I was impressed to see an item that Anton took great pric=de in telling me about, I'll not spoil the surprise though. We'll definitely be going back.
