A very peaceful, tranquil site set in a beautiful setting. The facilities are very clean but could do with a little updating. We have stayed there many times. It's close to home but a relaxing world away. Would definitely recommend

Lovely spacious site and facilities were lovely & clean

This is a gorgeous site in a stunning location. The shower and toilet facilities were top-notch and were always clean and fresh. Being an adult only site meant that it was the perfect place to relax, unwind and enjoy the peace and tranquility. The lady in the shop was really helpful, giving us a handy map and talking us through a walk from the site to Durham. There was also a lovely walk along the riverbank and we were lucky enough to spot a heron as we walked. We enjoyed exploring the Priory ruins and couldn't believe that we had never heard of it before. It is definitely as good as others that are perhaps more well known. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this site and are already thinking about doing a return visit ourselves.
