Tips for other travellers

Make sure you take everything you need, especially if you don't want to move your motor home unless you have alternative transport, Sainsbury's / M&S two miles or so away. The site is quiet with pleasant walks along the river.

We have been coming here for years even during covid with no facilities. This weekend was the busiest we have seen it but still not overcrowded. Unfortunately there was often floods in the ladies toilet block which both me and my daughter in law mopped up a few times. Throughout the evening there was a man who went round the campsite on a buggy every half hour which was quite unsettling and unnecessary as it’s an adult only site.

Lovely walk into Durham. Very close to Beamish. Lots to do in the surrounding areas .
