Beautiful, peaceful which allows for relaxing down time. Short drives to Durham/Chester le street if you want shops/eateries. Lovely walk from site to Durham city centre. Through Franklin woods and brings you to the edge of the centre. 8 mile round trip on foot. Small river walk on site but depending on which route you do, there are a lot of steps to go up or down. Light entertainment every night (we stayed July) of guinea fowl running past the vans. Can hear them through out the day, but to see them go foraging down to the river with the ducks, is pretty fun to watch. Defo worth a visit if you want peace & quiet

Tips for other travellers
Very uneven pitches so be sure to take chocks etc to help level up
