Lovely friendly people immaculate facilities landscaping beautiful with the Abbey as a stunning back drop along side the stunning river. Very quiet site would absolutely recommend can't wait to go back

We arrived with a tent as well as our camper but they were very happy to accommodate not really suitable if your just camping more of a touring park

A great place to stay. Have a stroll round the Abbey and a ramble along the river. There’s an orchard on site and guinea fowl walking around the van

Remember to bring your chocks for levelling as some pitches slope quite a bit

Ground can be uneven depending on the plot you get but chocks were available so no problem.

Nice clean shower block, the site was only about half full when we went, but I imagine the 2 showers would get busy when the site is fuller. Lovely views of the priory though.

You can walk into Durham city easily from the site, initially on roads then on a nice cycle / bridleway.
