A lovely, well positioned, peaceful site with the backdrop of Finchale Abbey. Staff very pleasant. Will return.

Tips for other travellers
Close to Durham and the A1 and yet beautiful and peaceful. Lovely riverside walks from the site, as well as Finchale Abbey on the doorstep. In our experience, booking a specific pitch does not guarantee that pitch if someone else has swapped to it before you arrive, but one in the ‘section’ will be available and a quick call to staff will confirm where you can pitch instead. Well worth a visit.

Staff so friendly Location good for walks the abbey amazing the river walk also amazing and short drive 10mins to Durham centre

Although I dont want to advertise this spot as its wonderful, lovley atmosphere as I am returning, it is a little GEM if you dont visit boy your really missing out
