A lovely stay at a clean touring caravan and motorhome park situated next to the River Wear and Finchale Priory. A beautiful spot. The nearby cafe was pleasant and the site itself was well- maintained with clean facilities. The only minor issue was the distance from the nearest bus stop, a small issue as we stayed in February and the walk was not enticing! The site is quite close to Durham itself, a convenient Park and Ride being only 10 minutes drive away. Also it is within easy striking distance of Beamish, just a 20 minute drive away. Lovely site, lovely staff. Highly recommended!

The Park and ride for Durham was great. Durham Cathedral is beautiful. You need at least two days to see all of the Beamish Museum it is vast! The campsite gave us a discount code for Beamish which saved us a few pounds. Check out the river walk but bring your wellies in winter!
