Easy book in and arrival system. This year was our 6th consecutive stay so that says everything.

Tips for other travellers

Be aware that some pitches are uneven so you may need chocks (some are available on site). Use the Park and Ride,(4 miles away) or local bus stop about 1 mile away, to get into Durham. Arnison shopping centre less than 3 miles away( has a Lidl and Sainsburys).

Park was lovely, in a great spot next to the river with a beautiful walk alongside. Access to the Abbey was nice too, and it felt great spending some time looking around it.

Tips for other travellers

Ring some swimming gear, access to the river is free and in a lovely spot for a dip. Only drawback is the phone signal is quite poor here and park wifi is quite pricey PAYG.

Tips for other travellers

Pitches aren’t level as stated on the website so as expected. We were on D1 and found the electric hookup was way too far away. We have a 14m cable and would probably have needed 20m or even slightly longer. Other than that very nice site.

We were on plot B3, the concrete pad was perfectly flat and we had water drainage and electric hook up, the only fault we would say was that the front door on the residential unit next door faced our Uk Bailey tourer door and also their drive was on our side, where our car was parked at the front, this meant that neither of us got the normal privacy on a motorhome and caravan site, apart from this the site was nice and we would definitely stay again 👍
