plenty of things to see and great places to eat Magnus cafe Kirkwall great for lunchtime snacks of homemade soups and bakes. All served with very warm welcome. The Sands hotel Burray also has lovely homemade fare to enjoy.

I can’t fault this accommodation 10/10 it’s just perfect for me & my needs. Situated half way between Kirkwall & Stromness it’s ideal to visit all of Orkney’s Neolithic sites & is only a short distance to each ferry terminal if you plan to sail to the outer islands. These apartments have everything you need.bedding, pots and pans, dishes, washing machines etc etc You basically just need to turn up.

Kringla’s welcome pack gives lots of interesting information about dog friendly places to visit & eat. I used The Orkney Brewery,Judith Glue’s cafe,The Daily Scoop also Westbites (based in Dounby) excellent fish & chips every Friday night until 7pm. Another good place to visit is The Tomb of The Eagles that has reopened (South Ronaldsay) You can’t come to Orkney & not visit the iconic Italian Chapel & St Magnus Cathedral.
