The walk up on the moor from the farm was beautiful, as were Blackpool Sands, and the coastal paths around Salcombe and Little Dartmouth. The First and Last did good food, and we had a friendly welcome in the Crooked Spire.

Fabulous accommodation at Blackadon Cottages. And Michael and Nicola are constantly upgrading facilities to make it even better. They are also a delight to deal with. Everything is provided to make a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

If its raining on the moor - head to the beach. Sometimes its sunny there.

We had such a great stay at Blackadon farm. The place was pristine clean, with modern interior, warm and relaxing. The cookies were a treat on arrival. We had all we need, and Michael was quick to respond to any queries. The little donkeys and pygmy goat friends were a bonus. Very convenient location to visit Dartmoor national park and neighbouring villages. Very nice walk up the mountains , from the cottage with the little stream at the side. The guide book was excellent, it had such clear instructions about everything, including helpful information about local restaurants. Overall it was excellent, we highly recommend.

The walk up the mountains from tne cottage itself is beautiful, if the weather is good, the view is amazing. Quick access to A38, only 5 min away. The village of Ashburton has lots of antique shops, though many are closed on Mondays. Many of the neighbouring villages are beautiful even to drive through. Dartmouth is about less than an hour drive, and is a brilliant place to visit. Salcombe beach is also beautiful which is about half an hour drive.
