We have stayed here before and love it. The upper and lower barn plus the loft are ideal for large groups of people and there are other properties we could also book. We have met the new owners who were very helpful. The Den has table tennis, a small snooker table and a game, but I know after speaking to Nicola that they do have plans for this room.

We are regular guests and love the location, as it gives direct access to Dartmoor and is within easy driving distance of lots of things to do.

The place is great and well kitted out, however it would be good if things such as bin bags, dishwasher tablets etc were in the house. We had to go out to buy extra toilet roll, bin bags, dishwasher tablets and tea towels, which was a bit of a hassle. A few of the guests also expressed surprise that there wasn't shampoo or soap in the showers. These small things would make a big difference. But generally we had a lovely stay and are happy to be going back in April. Oh, one other thing ... our cook said the oven has a problem. She said even at full heat it wasn't that hot and things took much longer to cook than she would expect, even though she had the temperature at the absolute maximum. Maybe that needs looking at?

We had a lovely stay. The cottage was warm and cosy and had everything we needed. Lovely setting for Dartmoor. The only minor issue we had was getting my 90yr old mother from the car to the cottage due to having to get across the gravel courtyard with her walker, (she managed with sticks and help) and the unexpected steps inside the cottage to her en-suite bedroom. We managed ok though and it didn’t detract from our overall enjoyment of the stay.
