Fyona at Karrawa took excellent care of all the guests - she was warm and friendly and super-helpful. Highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a clean and comfortable place to stay! Would definitely come back for future trips to Kirkwall/Orkney!!!

Tips for other travellers

It's about 20 minute walk into Kirkwall center area, but the bonus is that turning right on that road and walking another 20-ish minutes takes you to water where locals go snorkeling or just be near the water. Friendly sheep will greet you along the way there.

We had an excellent stay and Fyona was a fantastic host. The accommodation was very good and we thoroughly enjoyed the quality and selection of the breakfast.

we enjoyed visiting: Skara Brae, Ring of Brodgar, coastal walk near Yesnaby, Hoy and the walk to The Old Man, Orkney Distillery cafe and bar, Oot the Back, The Storehouse restauarant.
