We really enjoyed our stay at Lochview. Karen looked after us and made it feel like a home from home. Breakfasts were amazing, with lots of choice of both hot and continental options all prepared to order. You can also get a takeaway breakfast pack if you're headed up to Ben Nevis early. Great location only 5-10 minutes walk to the High Street. There is also free parking right outside on the property. Great views across the Loch as well, very peaceful and a lovely garden with places to sit outside including a terrace although, being October, we didn't use this. There is also a guest lounge with DVDs and board games. Karen also had lots of great tips on local restaurants, where to park for the Ben Nevis climb and knew lots about the area, recommending places to go which were stunning.

We liked the food at the Geographer on the High Street and also the next door fish and chip shop Macaris.

The road to the Isles trip was a very interesting road trip, it has alittle bit of everything. Ben Nevis, Neptune's staircase, historic monument's, Loch's, a famous viaduct and some beautiful beaches. A trip to Loch Ness is very worth it too. If you don't want to tackle Ben Nevis! there is a mountain Gondola Nevis range, that have cable car's that take you to the top of Aonach Mor mountain, which have great views and some small walks, there is also a cafe which sells lovely food. You can bike from the top all the way to the bottom 750m down if your feeling brave.

A day trip to Mallaig on the Jacobite train is excellent.
