Spotlessly clean, comfortable hostel. The catering facilities are excellent - everything you could possibly need. The drying room is second to none. Friendly, knowledgeable and helpful hosts. A very relaxing place to stay.

A fantastic hostel with a warm and welcoming atmosphere — everything was just perfect! The place was spotlessly clean, well-maintained, and had everything we needed. A huge thank you to the wonderful host for going above and beyond to make our stay truly memorable.

Tips for other travellers

Limited food in the shop nearby. Just essentials. So good idea to bring some with you to Invergarry if you can.

Thank you for the lovely review. You are correct that the local filling station shop carries limited supplies. It is pretty well stocked for what it is but it is not a supermarket. We do give all of our guests information about these sorts of practicalities a week before arrival. We have a large and well equipped kitchen in the hostel, which is ideal if you can bring your own supplies. In your case this was not practical as you arrived by bike and, as a result, you chose to eat out in the local hotel. We appreciate that you still gave us a good review. What the filling station stocks is not, of course, in our control.

Another fantastic stay at Saddle Mountain. As always, the hostel was immaculate, Helen & Gregor were very welcoming, and we had a lovely time. Great facilities, well equipped kitchen, nice lounge, comfy beds, parking onsite… Everything you need for a few nights stay to explore the local area. Very fairly priced. Would highly recommend.

Tips for other travellers

Excellent drying room for sorting clothes after a day in the outdoors. Gregor makes an excellent coffee on request. Pub round the corner does a decent pint. Lots of Munros, bike routes, and scenic spots to explore within the area.
